HUE COLOR STORY 07 Katie’s Retreat | Stonington, CT

Working with Katie and creating her custom color palette for her full interior was so much fun. She and I collaborate together beautifully. Katie has an incredible sense of style and coordination. She loves her home. It's gorgeous, but she hadn't connected with it because it still had the previous owners’ paint colors on the walls. There was also so much trim in this house, and I wanted to showcase that more, so we did all of the trim in a bright white. We then brought in a very subtle, gorgeous, warm gray called JuJu's Gray, one of my custom colors, throughout the entire home. There's a great sense of openness in her space, and we did not want to change that, we just wanted to make it hers. We brought in rich, gorgeous, saturated pops of color where we wanted them to be. That worked out so beautifully. We then needed to create a custom tone for the floor to really make this home feel like Katie’s every time she walks through the door. The floor now goes perfectly with the wall color, her gorgeous decor, and the JuJu's Gray throughout the entire home. The pops of color are exactly where they should be, and they are gorgeous.
