HUE COLOR STORY 02 Shayla’s Soulful Restoration | Watch Hill, RI

Shayla and I have worked together on a previous home. She and her husband bought a historic Brick restoration project in Watch Hill a few years ago and the show This Old House came in to do the full restoration. Shayla called me out of desperation to create the color palette for the interior of the home. She loved everything that was going on with the restoration, except the colors that were being suggested. She simply did not connect to them. We collaborated together and brought in the colors that she needs and that her husband and children need to be surrounded by to bring that calm and connection at the end of the day. So when their work lives are crazy and the world is noisy and they step through their door they can exhale. The colors that now surround them ground them and bring them peace. Working with Shayla is so exciting because she truly understands how the colors we’re surrounded by have a direct impact on our lives and our minds.
